August
- KAPELA was awarded the second prize by the prestigious 'FOLK WORLD" company for the best foreign concert band of the year 2000 in Germany.
July
- KAPELA ZE WSI WARSZAWA represented Poland at 10th International Ethnic Music Festival "Tanz&Fest" in Rudolstadt (Germany). It is the largest event of this kind in Europe and attracts a few dozens of renowned musicians and ensembles from all over the world.
1999
August
- KAPELA made its appearance at the International Music Festival in Sopot, Poland, performing at the concert "Music Routes of Europe" alongside such acclaimed musicians as Goran Bregovic, Taraf de Haidouks, Bulgarian Voices, Altan.
1998
December
- III place in the competition for the best folk music album in Poland.
Septemper
- "Hop Sa Sa" -the first album, produced by Wlodzimierz Kleszcz.
March
- KAPELA won II Prize and the Audience Award, during the Polish Radio Folk Music Competition "Nowa Tradycja" ("The New Tradition"), organised by "Radiowe Centrum Kultury Ludowej" ("The Radio Centre for Folk Culture"). This festival is Polish equivalent of the BBC "Young Tradition Award". This was the time when the radio journalist Wlodzimierz Kleszcz, well known from the successful careers of Trebunie Tutki and Twinkle Brothers, commenced his co-operation with the Band.
